Re-entry ministry at the Parole Office

Welcome Back West Central Texas

WBWCT was formed to show the love of Christ to all newly released ex-offenders, especially the ones in Erath, Hood, Palo Pinto, Parker, Stephens, and Wise County.

Once released from a TDCJ facility, if they are on parole, a parolee must attend an orientation class at the District Parole Office that they were assigned to. The district we cover includes Erath, Hood, Palo Pinto, Parker, Stephens, and Wise Counties. The District Office for these counties is located in Mineral Wells.

WBWCT has the privilege of conducting the first hour of this orientation class where we hand out and explain a “Resource Booklet” by county that we have put together.

The first part of this booklet has a list of Churches (by county) that we have visited and have expressed to us that they would love to have these returning citizens attend their church. They also gave us a contact name and phone number for the parolee to call to get more information.

The next part of the booklet has “other resources”. Here they can get all kinds of assistance for health care, transportation, clothing, groceries, job training and much more. WBWCT does not list a resource unless we have personally visited them first.

After that, we cover things like getting driver's licenses, birth certificates, and social security cards, with forms and information they may need.
