Volunteer Positions for toServe Ministry

Teacher/mentors - Pray for students, Review bible study lessons submitted by our students, give positive encouragement for correct answers, provide reference of scripture from the bible to address questions students may have, Print and send articles to help them understand what they are studying, Write a personal letter for each lesson.
Time Commitment: min 3 hr. per week
Equipment needed: home computer or laptop, internet access, printer.


Computer/data entry – Open mail, enter data into Kintone Data Base to track students and lessons, look up new students to verify location and ID numbers, print envelopes for mailing, assemble lesson packets for mailing.
Time Commitment: 3 hours per day, 1 or 2 days per week.
Current days open: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Hours: 9am-noon
Skills: data entry, general clerical skills.


Packet builders/stuffers - assemble lessons packets to mail to our students. Assemble introductory lessons packets, open and sort mail.
Current days open: Monday Hours: 9am-noon
Time Commitment: 2 hrs. per day, 1 or 2 days per week as needed.
Skills: general office skills, handling paper and envelopes, folding & stuffing


Event Coordinator - plan and organize events for fund raisers, coordinate men and women’s events at churches, speaking events at churches and events.
Schedule: Flexible
Skills: Good phone skills, good organization and communication skills. Event Planning and fund-raising experience a plus.


Communications Coordinator - Write quarterly newsletter for donors, churches. Make regular contact with unit Chaplains to raise awareness of toServe Ministry. Attend community meetings to maintain presence for toServe in the community.
Schedule: Flexible. Some work can be done from home.
Skills: good writing skills, Microsoft Word and Publisher a plus. Good phone skills.


Printing/Graphics Person - design marketing material (knowledge of Adobe and Publisher would be great) print brochures, business cards, lessons and other marketing materials needed to support the ministry.
Schedule: Flexible. Some work can be done from home.
Skills: Ability to operate in-house printer and cutter. Knowledge of Adobe and Publisher would be helpful, but not required (we can train the right person). Experience is designing marketing materials a plus but not required.


Ministry Ambassador for WBWCT in each county/or community to visit churches and resources listed in their counties WBWCT booklet. Search out other resources and churches to partner with WBWCT in the community. Organize local coffee gatherings for men’s group and women’s group in the community for returning citizens to fellowship with other Christians.

Skills: ability to meet new people in the community. Networking experience a plus


Ministry Ambassadors for BCF at each church that partners with toServe Ministry. As part of that church body, they work with local missions’ pastor to raise awareness of BCF volunteer needs, encourage support from the church body and individuals. Answer questions about our ministry for staff and congregation.
Schedule: Very Flexible.
Skills: ability to meet new people in the community. Networking experience a plus
